Where do you get your inspo from for photoshoots?

I think most of my inspiration comes from my personal vision, ideas that I have wanted to see come to life. I love pulling creativity from past trends, the likes of Paris Hilton for example. The 80’s fashion era will forever inspire my concepts!

How do you keep Outrè relevant on Instagram?

We all know that these days social media is difficult to keep up with, especially when it comes to maintaining relevance. I think understanding the culture of our brand and what our audience follows us for in the first place plays a huge role in the success of our name online. As we are still a small business, making our presence known is vital.

What is your favourite part about being the Outrè Marketing Director?

Where do I even start! I adore everything about my role - the challenges, the photoshoots, the design, the inspiring people I get to meet and work with along the way. However, I think my favourite part about being Outrè’s Marketing Director is the freedom I have to be creative, the freedom to quite literally let my imagination run wild. I am lucky enough to express and sell our vision to our audience through my eyes, nothing beats the feeling of seeing that come to life when men and women are wearing our designs.

What was your favourite photoshoot you’ve directed?

My favourite photoshoot has to be our Essentials Collection which took place at the sand dunes in Cape Reinga. The location was absolutely unreal, our garments suited the environment so well which made the shoot that much easier to direct. It was definitely one for the books!

What made you decide you wanted to pursue a career in fashion marketing?

As much as I had always dreamed of being where I am now, I never thought I would be able to create a career for myself in fashion as I always knew it was a difficult industry to pursue. Previous to working in fashion marketing I was actually a personal trainer so some would say this was a huge leap in the opposite direction for my career path, a great one that is. Much to my surprise, with no experience whatsoever I was offered an incredible opportunity at Outrè to turn my passion into my reality and I of course absolutely jumped at it!

Describe a day in your life?

A day in my life would usually start with a bright and early workout before heading into the office at 7am. I am a ‘freakishly organised’ person as my colleagues would say haha, so I will almost always have my day planned out in my diary beforehand. Getting straight into arranging our instagram feed, chatting with magazine companies and dealing with any current influencers. Never a quiet day in the Outrè Headquarters!
